Welcome to Kohn Animal Hospital! We are a full service hospital treating dogs, cats, reptiles, rabbits, and other exotic pets. The original Kohn Animal Hospital was located in Highland Park, IL and was created by Dr. Leonard Kohn in the early 1950s. His granddaughter, Dr. Greta Mann, has revitalized the practice to follow in his footsteps. We value close relationships with our clients and take pride in our family-type atmosphere here at Kohn Animal Hospital. Our staff is excited for the opportunity to help you and your pets. 

We offer routine and emergency medical and surgical care to your pets. At Kohn Animal Hospital, we understand that pets are an important part of your family and we are dedicated to their care and treatment.We are happy to offer a number of resources that enable you to learn about how to take better care of your pets.   • Dr. Greta Mann
    Veterinarian/ Owner

    Dr. Greta Mann is the proud owner of Kohn Animal Hospital.She  completed her bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Beloit College prior to obtaining her veterinary doctorate degree from the University of Illinois. Dr. Mann's special interests include dermatology, animal behavior, and client education.

  • Jane
    Veterinary Technician

    Jane has a Bachelor's Degree in biology and has worked in various fields, including organic vegetable farming, early childhood education, and as an English/Spanish medical interpreter. She is thrilled to be a part of Kohn Animal Hospital because, just as when she was a kid, she still wants to pet every dog she sees walking down the street! She currently lives in Highland Park with her cat, Brenda, and gets her dog fix as a volunteer at Community Animal Rescue Effort in Skokie.

  • Lily
    Veterinary Technician

    Lily used to live in Israel but she recently moved to the United States with her family. Lily is currently attending the College of Lake County for her associates degree and to finish prerequisite classes for veterinary school. She loves Harry Potter, sarcasm, and her former military service dog, a Belgian Malinois named Rumba.

    Veterinary Technician

    Sarah has a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois. She intends to return to school in the future for further education but in the meantime loves to meet and care for everyone's furry friends. She spends most of her free time spoiling her Dutch Shepherd named Kane, painting, and then repainting after she manages to ruin said painting.
